I am a documentary photographer and writer from the UK. After beginning my career in press photography I became committed to telling the stories behind the news which led to my first major documentary project, the story of the Dale Farm Traveller community which I am continuing to work on today. This experience, building the trust and understanding that is so important to communication forms the core of my work.
My work has been recognised internationally by bodies including the Philip Jones Griffiths Award, Amnesty International Media Award, the Sony World Photography Award, China International Photo Contest, UK Picture Editors Guild and the Magenta Foundation.
Publications and clients include The Times of London, The Sunday Times, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Daily Telegraph, The Telegrah Magazine, The Guardian, The Australian, Huck Magazine, LensBlog, Gazeta Wyborcza, Le Monde and many more. I am a contributor to agencies Eyevine and Reuters.
I speak English, French and get by quite well in Arabic. I can be reached at +44 7930859161 and email: firstname.lastname@example.org
I also occasionally write a blog about my work at: www.photomouse.wordpress.com
